General description

IPR Center, Incubis, Commercialization, and Industrial Affiliation (PHIKA) is one of the centers in LP2M-UM which also supports in carrying out research and community service as well as realizing outcomes, especially those with potential intellectual property rights, business incubators, commercialization, and industrial affiliations. Increasing the quantity, quality and ability of the academic community in obtaining IPRs is very important in supporting the performance of the Institution which can be followed up through downstream activities, especially the internal potential in increasing the acquisition of IPRs and developing the strengthening of business incubators, commercialization and industrial affiliations. The other side, which is an integrated task and function of PHIKA, also grows and implements a business incubator consisting of a process of coaching, service, mentoring, and developing profitable startup business units (profitable) and sustainable (sustainable), develop and realize the commercialization of innovations created by the UM academic community. PHIKA has the opportunity to collaborate with the government, society, and industry in implementing science and technology in an integrated and sustainable manner for the welfare of the community.

Main tasks

  1. Carrying out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education through scientific development of knowledge and practicing that knowledge
  2. Encouraging, developing, and realizing research and community service with the potential of HIKA
  3. Increasing the quantity, quality, and ability of the academic community in obtaining IPR
  4. Encouraging the utilization of internal potential in increasing the acquisition of IPR and developing the strengthening of IKA
  5. Manage business incubators in an effort to grow a profitable startup business unit (profitable) and continued (sustainable).
  6. Developing and realizing the commercialization of innovations created by the UM academic community
  7. Collaborating with the government, society, and industry in implementing science and technology in an integrated and sustainable manner for welfare
